Our village is a great starting point for excursions and outdoor activities.
Whether you want to go trekking, cycling, or simply enjoy a relaxing walk through the woods, the possibilities are endless, with trails that pass through historic landscapes and offer breathtaking views.
A short distance away, you’ll find the evocative ruins of Mesocco Castle, one of the largest fortifications in the canton, adding a touch of history and mystery to this picturesque location.
Walk the scenic Via Crucis to the Church of Mesocco, admire the spectacular Deira and Soazza waterfalls, and discover an unusual zoo: an open-air museum where murals transform various urban surfaces into an artistic exhibition dedicated to wildlife.

The Moesanoarea
There are many activities available in the Mesolcina Valley and the nearby Calanca Valley.
Just a few kilometers from the B&B, I recommend a walk in Pian San Giacomo along a trail that follows the river. The path is peaceful and surrounded by nature, and along the way, you’ll find water pools created specifically for the local wildlife.
Continuing further north, at an altitude of 1626 meters, lies San Bernardino, another hamlet of Mesocco, offering additional attractions such as ski slopes, hiking trails and an adventure park.
In the nearby Calanca Valley, you can find additional activities, such as capturing stunning shots of the famous alpine lake Lagh de Calvaresc, which can be reached via a hiking trail.
Step intoTicino
Thanks to its proximity to Canton Ticino, our B&B makes it easy to discover a variety of fascinating destinations. For example, the cities of Locarno and Lugano, both overlooking their respective lakes and located about 60 km away, offer an irresistible blend of history, culture, and modernity, with charming historic centers, traditional restaurants, and boutique shops.
Alternatively, the Castles of Bellinzona, three impressive medieval fortresses recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, reveal the rich history of the region while offering panoramic views of the city.
Another favorite among tourists is Valle Verzasca, famous for its crystal-clear waters, the iconic Roman Bridge and nice hiking trails.
